HURRICANE RELIEF: HELP WESTERN NC

Generators and Mobile Homes

We are urgently seeking tax-deductible donations to purchase generators and tiny homes/trailers to send to those affected by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina. Generators are critical for individuals with medical conditions that require electricity to operate life-saving equipment such as CPAP or oxygen machines. Each generator costs about $725. This does not include the cost of propane tanks and a case of oil for each.

Shelter is critical! That's why Help I Will is collecting funds to purchase tiny homes and/or trailers for those who have lost their homes in Western, NC due to Hurricane Helene.

We Need a Truck (and Some Helping Hands)! We're needing to transfer those trailers and, the thing is, we need a truck. Not just any truck—probably a diesel Ford, something like a F-250 or heavier, that can pull heavy trailers through mountain terrain. If you’ve got a work truck you're getting ready to replace, and you’d be open to donating it, we would be grateful beyond words. It doesn't have to be perfect—just in good working condition. We’ll happily provide a tax receipt for the donation. (CONTACT US!)

We are working to raise money to purchase and get these essential items delivered as soon as possible. If you would like to help, please click the DONATE button to make a tax-deductible contribution!

We’re also trying to get more folks involved: If you have a truck that’s capable of hauling trailers—especially if you’ve pulled large campers through the mountains before—we could really use your help.

Your support can make a vital difference.

GETTING HOMES TO THOSE IN NEED

Serving Western North Carolina, One Home at a Time

Providing safe, mobile shelter to individuals and families in crisis is no small task—but with your help, it’s possible.

Picking Up Trailers & Homes

With the support of dedicated volunteers, we’re able to pick up donated trailers and RVs from locations all over the country. These long-distance trips require not only time, but also fuel, food, and logistical planning. Every journey is a step closer to helping someone get into a secure place they can call home.

Repairs & Home Essentials

Many of the trailers we receive need repairs—both big and small. From plumbing fixes to installing clean bedding and basic appliances, we work hard to make each unit livable and dignified.

To streamline this process, we are currently preparing a central location where we can do repairs and outfitting more efficiently. This requires clearing land, laying a good foundation, and securing the area with a gate. Here's what it takes:

  • Tree Clearing: $3,500
  • Gravel Foundation: $3,900
    (That’s 6 loads at $650 each)

Powering the Homes

Each trailer needs a generator installed on the exterior to supply essential electricity. These generators currently cost $725each, not including the oil and propane tanks needed to keep them running.

Transfering Homes

The thing is, we need a truck.

How You Can Help

Your generosity can provide shelter, warmth, and hope to someone in western North Carolina. Whether it’s a one-time gift or ongoing support, every dollar goes directly toward restoring lives and providing homes.

We’re also trying to get more folks involved:

URGENT DONATIONS NEEDED: Helping Hands for Haiti

Help I Will - Bringing hope to those in need

Helping Hands for Haiti is facing a critical time and urgently needs our help. Due to recent storms and unrest, the local school in Haiti has suffered significant damage. In addition to repairing the school, the community also needs funds for:

      • School uniforms for the children
      • Food supplies for those in need
      • Repairs to the truck used to deliver essential supplies and food to surrounding villages

The most immediate need at this time is funding to feed kids at the local school. This will cost $2,000 per month. Help I Will is working closely with Helping Hands for Haiti and the area contact, Fritzner Pierre, to advocate for and ensure that these funds go directly to the community.

Your donation, no matter the size, can make a difference. Please join us in supporting this vital cause and help restore hope to those who need it most. Together, we can make a meaningful impact.

To make a tax-deductible donation, click the DONATE button and be part of the change.

Thank you for your generosity, support and prayers!

Who is Helping Hands for Haiti?

Helping Hands for Haiti is a passionate group of individuals who are driven to better the impoverished lives of our brothers and sisters in this desolate country called Haiti. They're a non-profit organization with a focus on three main areas of mission - Sharing the gospel of Jesus, Loving His Children, and Tangibly building up strong communities. It is important to understand that God calls us to give of ourselves to the poor.

      Help I Will's Missionary Partnership

The call to missionary life style is stated in scriptures. Matthew 28: 19-20 and Acts 1: 8 are just two of the many passages recorded that reflect the Christian duty, privilege, and challenge to share the love of Christ.

Gary Register / Help I Will is a local contact for Fritzner Pierre (Fritz), who is a Helping Hands for Haiti coordinator who lives in Haiti.

How to put your Hands into Action

Help provide these resilient people with the basics to live and thrive – education, housing, healthcare and food - and they will help their neighbor. We have found in walking with them on this journey, when one is helped, they are inspired to thrive in their own life and help their community.
